Fellows select at least one Research Project to complete during the Fellowship in their area of interest. MSM encourages the Fellows to develop a project(s) that can be completed within the Fellowship year. Fellows write a research proposal, identifying the topic/question, research hypothesis, goals and objectives, methodology, statistical analysis, literature review, timeline, budget, subject recruitment, etc., and submit it to the Research Committee for review. On approval, Fellows implement their project with assistance of the Research Committee and the MSM Research Associates. On completion of the Research Project, Fellows summarize results and submit their paper to a peer-reviewed journal of their choice.
