Minnesota Sports Medicine’s commitment to active people has led it to the forefront of education and research, helping to improve our treatment of activity-related conditions and preventing them altogether. We’re one of a handful of sports medicine centers nationally to blend progressive research with education and community outreach programs. Health care providers and active people alike benefit from the latest sports medicine science and apply it personally and professionally.
Research discoveries help sports medicine professionals improve the way we care for patients from injury to rehabilitation. Physicians, physical therapists and others work with MSM’s research director and doctorate-level research associates to identify research initiatives that will have a meaningful impact in the community and help keep active people healthy. Research areas include knee surgery and agility, running mechanics and injury, and return-to-play rehabilitation best practices.
Long-term program goals include expanding clinic and community-based research activities with assistance of more research-trained associates.
