Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Brad Nelson, M.D.,  earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School-Twin Cities in 1991 and completed his residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver, Colorado in 1997. His advanced training includes completing a two-year research and education sports medicine fellowship at the Keller Army Community Hospital in West Point, N.Y.

Dr. Nelson sees patients at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview, Orthopedic Clinic in Minneapolis. His special interests include ACL injuries and reconstruction, ACL revisions, meniscal injuries and transplants, shoulder instability, articular cartilage injuries and arthoscopic shoulder surgery.

He is associate professor in the University of Minnesota's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery Sports Medicine and Shoulder Division.
