Jamie Peters, M.D., studied medicine at Rush Medical College in Chicago, Illinois and completed his residency in family practice at the University of Minnesota’s Smiley’s Program in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He sees patients at Fairview Sports and Orthopedic Care in Burnsville.

He is board certified in family medicine and obtained his Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in sports medicine in 1999. Other areas of medical interest include hospital based medicine, pediatrics, academic medicine and critical care medicine. He has spent 10 years of his career as a full time teaching faculty at the University of Wisconsin, Madison and the University of Minnesota, Medical School.

Dr. Peters was recently named to Mpls/St. Paul magazine's 2007 Top Docs. The annual survey randomly samples licensed and practicing Minnesota physicians about who they consider to be the best in the industry.

“I enjoy the partnership with my patients in assisting them to maximize their overall health”. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, cross country ski racing, biking, running, backpacking and photography.
